Bite-Sized Learning In The Palm Of Your Hand
Bite-Sized Learning In The Palm Of Your Hand
The Challenge
Research shows that individuals retain information and learn best when they’re able to process the information on a recurring basis. RECUR, a Des Moines-based startup, wanted to provide a medium by which organizations and individuals could facilitate this type of repetitive learning. Shift partnered with RECUR to create a v1 of their product that could be leveraged to build its user base and gain early user feedback.
OUR
APPROACH
Shift leveraged Agile software development methodology, allowing the client and Shift team to break the work down into smaller segments and pivot more quickly as new learnings were gained through the development process. The main client contact served as the product owner and actively participated in product roadmapping, sprint planning and helped set feature priority in order to successfully arrive at the initial version of the app.
The Solution
Through the RECUR Learn app, individuals are able to have information delivered to them in small segments after an initial learning has occurred. During our initial partnership with RECUR, Shift helped deliver a product that supports two main audiences: 1) content viewers through an iOS and Android mobile application and 2) content creators through a web application that allows the management of content feeds. Users can receive information ‘dripped’ to them at a daily, weekly or extended frequency.
